The Serve City Core Values

Christ-Centered – We exist for the glory of God and every opportunity to serve others to reflect the One we serve – 1 Corinthians 10:31

“What would Jesus do and What does the Bible tell us?”

Excellence – We believe that excellence honors God, and our neighbors and community deserve our best effort - Colossians 3:23-24

“If we are going to do it, we are going to do it well.”

Compassion – We work to recognize the suffering of others and take action to help.  Compassion is a tangible expression of love for those who are suffering – Psalm 51:1

“No one is perfect and everyone has something to offer.”

Empowerment – We remind people who and whose they really are and there is nothing they cannot accomplish with God’s help – Philippians 4:13

“There is nothing you and God cannot do.”

Relationships –  We build authentic relationships with the people we serve, our partners, and our community – 1 Timothy 1:5

“We engage people where they are and walk with them into God’s preferred future.”

The Serve City Statement of Faith

Serve City is a non-denominational Christian mission ministering to those in need in our local community, the city of Hamilton and Butler County. We believe that we are called to help provide for the physical and spiritual needs of our neighbors as described in James 2:15-17, “Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one says to them ‘Go in peace; keep warm and well fed’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” We are called to demonstrate our faith through our works.

We Believe that there is one God in three persons; God the Father, Jesus Christ God’s Son, and the Holy Spirit. Three co-equal members of the Godhead.

We Believe that Jesus, fully human and fully God, was born of a virgin, led a sinless life, completed the redemptive work required for mankind, God’s creation, to be reconciled to a holy God, rose from the grave, and is now the mediator between God and man. Jesus Christ alone is able to save.

We Believe that everyone will be held to account by God. Those relying on the work of Christ alone for their salvation will be saved to eternity with Him and those who deny Him to eternal separation from Him.

We Believe that scripture is divinely inspired, infallible, authoritative, and God’s word to man.

We Believe that every person is created in the image of God and is loved by Him giving each person sacred worth and value.

We Believe we are to love our neighbor as ourselves and to demonstrate this in meaningful, tangible ways without exception.

We Believe in the unity of the body, the church universal, that believers in Christ are called to demonstrate our love for Him by following His teaching and instructions.
