Ally’s journey at Serve City began in our emergency shelter. Once she was safe and out of survival mode, she moved forward into our Transitional Housing apartments a crucial stepping stone designed to give young adults the space and time needed to rebuild.

With a safe place to lay her head, Ally got to work. And our team stood shoulder-to-shoulder with her at every turn:

• Legal & Work Status: Our support staff helped navigate the complex process to get her visa renewed, opening the door for legitimate, secure employment.

• Financial Self-Sufficiency: Armed with legal work authorization, Ally secured two legitimate jobs and began saving every penny she could.

• Mobility & Independence: Ally earned her temporary driver's permit, saved up to purchase a reliable car, and is scheduled to take her official driving test next week!

• Higher Education: Looking toward her future, she enrolled at Miami University and is officially set to start classes this August!

• Permanent Housing: Thanks to her hard work and financial discipline, Ally saved enough money to pay the first month's rent and security deposit on her very own one-bedroom apartment!
